The contact chair is the primary chair for one submission. The contact chair can be seen on the submission page for the author. It can be set in the further setup in the conference menu for every submission.

The contact chair serves two purposes:

  • To split the workload for the chairs, so the multiple chairs know which papers they are assigned to
  • If all chairs of a conference are conflicted with one paper, it is possible to set a further person as a conference chair to this submission. This person get "chair" - rights on this paper. So he is responsible for this submission.
